Here’s a great video based around the A Minor blues scale. I love using the blues scale in my solos, and there are so many different positions you can play the scale in.
In this example we’re playing the scale around the 5th position, and rather than just playing the straight scale, Jody adds in a couple of repeating lines as the riff descends to make it a bit more interesting.

@tom27j Strats are quite popular, but lots of blues guitarists play other guitars. Personally, I’m a ES-335 Fat-Neck man myself.

after going up and down the minor pentatonic scale for what seems like forever, it felt like i wasnt getting anywhere,so i decided to try a few licks. this first one came out with only a couple of tries. it feels real good π thanks for the lesson.
